Grand Central Artists
Indipendent music label
-
Founded in September 2000 by Alexis Blanchart and Simonetta Izzo Blanchart, Grand Central Artists is the successor to a venture originally launched under the name O+music.
From the very beginning, the label focused on artistic and human excellence, in a context marked by the rise of digital platforms and streaming
-
With over a decade of experience producing Brazilian music, gypsy jazz, and world music, in partnership with his historic distributor Harmonia Mundi, O+music distinguished itself through the quality of its artists and productions
-
In 2005, the label achieved international recognition with a Grammy nomination for Ray Barretto’s Time Was Time Is
-
In 2020, Alexis Blanchart took his groundbreaking sound engineering to the next level by bringing Dolby Atmos technology to his studio, making it one of the first Dolby Atmos-certified studios in France
-
In 2010, O+music gave way to BigbOne, the publishing company that continued to develop the catalog and the studio
-
Then, in 2020, following the NAMM Show in Los Angeles, all operations—including the label, publishing company, and the studio newly named BiOne Studio—were unified under the name Grand Central Artists
-
Today, Grand Central Artists continues to operate on an international scale, with digital distribution managed by The Orchard – Sony Music (NY) and offices in Paris and Los Angeles
-
The label is always open to welcoming artists who want to manage and exploit their back catalogues, as well as those looking to produce new material or find a recording label
